Are you a veterinarian who wants to be part of something better? Does providing low cost but excellent veterinary medical care appeal to your general nature? Do you want to make a difference in your work? If you said yes to any of these things, then Golden State Humane Society is the place for you!
The Golden State Humane Society is looking to add a full-time associate veterinarian to our team. We are non-profit veterinary hospitals who have been serving local communities for close to 50 years. We have two locations, one Garden Grove and one in Long Beach. We are high volume, low-cost spay and neuter hospitals who take pride in providing excellent and affordable veterinary care to pets whose owners have low-income.
We are closed 2 days a week and work a shorter day on Saturday with no after-hours requirements, giving our doctors well earned “work-life-balance.” We provide our doctors the support they need with a 5 to 1 team member to doctor ratio.
We believe in strong communication, so we have monthly team meetings to keep everyone connected and informed.
Our F/T benefits include:
Non-profit student loan forgiveness credit options available
$130,000 annual salary
Paid CE
Paid vacation and sick time
Paid holidays
Health, dental, vision Insurance
Retirement plan
Paid licenses (DEA, VMB, VIN membership)
Paid Liability insurance
Discount for employee-owned pets
Our ideal candidate wants to learn, improve, and make a difference. We would like to grow the hospital to include more general surgery including dentistry. We pride ourselves on our thoroughness in all cases and our collaborative approach to medicine.
Are you a new grad? We will mentor you and you grow into your skill set.
I am a veterinary management consultant and recruiter. I work with multiple hospitals to help them find qualified candidates perfect for their hospitals.
