Mountain Point Equine Hospital is looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join our rapidly growing practice in the beautiful Salt Lake Valley, at the base of the Wasatch Mountains.

Our practice serves a wide variety of equine disciplines, ranging from high-level English and Western performance horses to beloved pasture pets. A friendly and knowledgeable bedside manner is very important to us. We strive to provide the most up-to-date treatments and diagnostics, both in the hospital and on the farm. We have an exceptional, hardworking staff to support the practice both in the field and the hospital. Currently, our practice is approximately 40% ambulatory and 60% in-hospital.  

Our facility consists of a newly-built hospital housing a large surgical suite, two exam and treatment rooms, 8 stall indoor intensive care unit (including 2 isolation stalls), 36 stall mare motel barn, individual stallion stalls with paddocks and collection facilities, as well as lameness evaluation area/outdoor arena and round pen.  On-site diagnostic and treatment capabilities include digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, shockwave, underwater treadmill system and a full in-house laboratory.  

Mountain Point Equine Work Schedule:

• 3-4 12-hour days a week (you will only be working 14-16 days/month!)
• “OFF TIME” is truly time off (you will have 3-4 days off every week!)

Hospitalized cases are managed collaboratively by all vets so that “off time” is truly free to enjoy the abundance of outdoor activities our practice area has to offer - including skiing the “greatest snow on earth”, hiking/biking/horseback riding/atv-ing/rock climbing in beautiful alpine terrain of the mountains or amidst the fine sand of the red rock deserts (depending upon which direction you head from the valley!) as well as countless other lakes, rivers, caves, mountains.  The greater Salt Lake area is truly a “choose your adventure” location - offering all the benefits and conveniences of a large city with easy and close access to epic mountains, deserts, and lakes.
