Wilkes Veterinary Hospital proudly serves Wilkes County and surrounding North Carolina areas. Located in the foothills of North Carolina, Wilkes County is full of mountain heritage and traditions. Home to numerous historic places and museums, wineries, distilleries, and several recreation areas, there is something for everyone to enjoy! Looking to get out of town for the weekend, take a quick one-hour drive and explore Boone, Winston-Salem, or Charlotte.
Practice Overview

What You’ll Be Working On
Build and maintain current and prospective client relationships
Preventative wellness care, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animal cases
Management, diagnosis, and treatment of internal medicine cases, with plenty of supporting mentorship available for new graduates
Opportunity to perform small animal surgeries with mentorship for new graduates as needed
Ensure quality care and environment for both staff and clients
DVM or equivalent from an accredited program is required
Be licensed or able to be licensed in the state of North Carolina required
Minimum of two years of experience preferred but not required
Experience working in a private practice setting preferred
No after hours/Emergency work required
Knowledge and experience working internal medicine cases preferred
Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and continuous learning
Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
Hometown small animal veterinary clinic offering preventative medicine, daily office hours, and minor surgeries. Family oriented, friendly staff, up-to-date facility and equipment. Also active in local animal rescue, work closely with local humane societies, shelters, and rescue groups.
