Kirkpatrick Animal Hospital is seeking a Mixed Animal Associate Veterinarian, and we welcome new graduates who are interested in developing their skills in a supportive mixed-animal practice.

We are a busy three-doctor mixed animal practice located in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, with a caseload of approximately 70% small animal and 30% large animal. Our doctors work closely together and are committed to mentoring new veterinarians as they build confidence in both medicine and surgery.

What You’ll Experience

Our practice offers an excellent opportunity for new graduates to gain experience in a wide variety of cases, including:

• Small animal medicine and surgery

• Preventive care and diagnostics

• Cattle herd health and reproductive work

• Equine medicine and basic procedures

• Farm calls in a supportive rural practice setting

We have the equipment and facilities needed to practice high-quality veterinary medicine, including:

• Equine and cattle haul-in facilities

• Five exam rooms

• Large surgical suite

• Digital radiography

• Ultrasound

• Endoscopy

• Idexx in-house laboratory

• Surgical laser

Supportive Team Environment

Our hospital employs 19 staff members supporting three veterinarians, allowing new doctors to work with experienced technicians and support staff while learning and growing in practice.

• Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree
• Valid veterinary license to practice
• Strong diagnostic, surgical, and medical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
• Commitment to upholding high standards of veterinary care
